Why should I have my carpets professionally cleaned?

Carpeting and fabrics not cleaned and properly maintained have a potential to cause a variety of health problems inside the home and work place.

What method of cleaning does Genesis use?

Genesis uses the only method of cleaning recommended by the carpet manufacturers and mills - Hot Water Extraction or sometimes referred to as Steam Cleaning.  When performed properly Hot Water Extraction is the only method that will improve the health and appearance of your carpet.

How often should I have my carpets cleaned?

High traffic areas should be cleaned every six months.  All other areas should be cleaned every year.

Does Genesis move furniture?

The technician will move some furniture.  We will not move beds, bookshelves, entertainment centers, pool tables, grandfather clocks, china hutches, electronics and musical instruments.  Our technicians reserve the right NOT to move any piece of furniture or household object that they do not feel comfortable with.

Should I move anything?

Yes, it will help expedite the process and help us keep our prices low.

How long will it take for my carpets to dry?

Our drying typically range from 2 - 6 hours. Dry times can be effected by many factor including weather and humidity.

When can I walk on my carpets?

You can walk on your carpets immediately!  We can give you plastic shoe covers, called booties, so that you can walk on your carpet while it's still drying.

Are you products safe?

Yes, our products are nontoxic, safe for children & pets.

Are your technicians experienced?

Yes, our technicians attend courses, seminars and schools to keep current on the latest equipment, solutions and processes.

Will all stains be removed?

There is an important distinction between a spot and a stain.  A spot will remove and a stain will not.  Some spots will not come out with routine cleaning and require additional attention.

Will having my carpet and furniture cleaned help my allergies?

No.  Dirt acts as an abrasive when trapped in your carpet and reduces the life expectancy of your carpet.  Regular professional cleaning (every 6 months) helps protect your investment.
